Annual Fund Raiser for Cameron Park Zoo- Friday June 24th 2005 from 8PM to Midnight for General Admission ticket holders; Patron Party is 6:30 PM to Midnight
Kid Zoobilee Saturday June 25th 5PM to 8PM; all children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Patron Party and Zoobilee- Friday
The event's patron party will be held in the new Brazos River Country Exhibit which offically opens to the public the following week. This new 9 million dollar addition to the zoo begins in an airconditioned Spanish Galleon berthed in the gulf of Mexico. The highlight of this exhibit is a 50,000 gallon saltwater aquarium. Entertainment will be provided by a steel drum band and Native American drummers.
The General Admission ticket holders will be admitted at 8PM and the activities will be located on the zoo's meadow. Culinary delights include shrimp, tons of barbeque, and dlaborate fruit, cheese spreads and cookies, caskes and chocolate dipped strawberries.
A silent auction will include a trip to New Orcleans, a stay at the Gaylord House in Dallas to mention just a few of the items.
