NOBODY ASKED ME, BUT

most people, when they get behind a microphone, in a room full of people, think they don't need to use the microphone, that they can be heard without it. In most cases they can't be heard by everyone. This drives me nuts.

home runs I find boring, the ball goes over the fence, the runner just trots around bases. Give me a triple, or that rare inside the park home run, when runner must sprint around bases, and fielders have to relay ball back in from outfield. I remember the old parks, like the Polo Grounds in New York, centerfield was really way, way, back,same with Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, this provided more triples, less homeruns...

I sure miss Johnny Carson, Steven Allen, Dick Cavett, and Merv Griffen. Their show didn't seem to be scripted as most talk shows are today. And remember those were the days guests smoked and, or, had a drink, while chatting to talk show hosts...

NFL refs should become full time officials...They are all part-time employees, with jobs such as teachers, lawyers, ect. ect.

give the golf spectators credit for being such great fans of the sport...They have to walk in often wet, muddy grass, during very hot, or cold weather, and often not being able to see the golfers, with so many other spectators in front of them. They walk l8 holes, approx. 5 miles, without a chair to sit on.

more people quite the game of golf each day, then take up the sport.

my publisher, Joe Cillo should go on one Green Tortoise Adventure in his lifetime, he might like it.

how I miss former San Francisco Giant Hall of Fame Pitcher, Juan Marichel high leg kick, it was incredible to watch.
