The Consortium of Grana Padano Cheese will be showcasing its world-renowned artisanal product at the first Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri Awards and Wine Tasting in San Francisco. It is a great opportunity to enjoy this cheese paired with Italy's top wines-this year's Tre Bicchieri features 264 award-winning wines.

For the last 7 years, Grana Padano Cheese has been chosen as the cheese to be paired with the best wines at Tre Bicchieri events in New York and San Francisco and, internationally, in Italy and Germany. Grana Padano Cheese is designated a 'PDO' (Protected Denomination of Origin) product, namely, its origin, content, production processes and characteristics are guaranteed by the European Union.

About Grana Padano
Grana Padano has been made in Italy's Po River Valley for nearly 1,000 years. The word 'Grana' means 'grainy,' referring to the cheese's texture and 'Padano' refers to the Po River Valley, where it is produced. Nutritious and versatile, it is the world's first hard cheese and Italy's favorite. Made from partially skimmed milk, Grana Padano is low in fat, has reduced salt content, and is a great source of vitamins. Grana Padano is a light and healthy food that is rich in protein and calcium and ideal for children, the elderly, athletes and women, especially during pregnancy. It's ideal for low carb dieters. Grana Padano is easy to digest, due to the enzymes used during the production process. Also, it's good for the lactose intolerant. Grana Padano's rich flavor is a perfect balance between sweet and savory, and it complements everything from appetizers to desserts.
